Roya R. Akbari is the founder of GREAT DREAMS INTERIORS, LLC, a full service window treatment and interior design company located in Potomac, Maryland.

GREAT DREAM INTERIORS is an MBE certified small business qualified to contract government-related projects. For the past 23 years, we’ve provided custom-made window treatments, bedding, upholstery and the like to suit a broad range of clients, each with their own personal tastes and preferences.  We specialize in commercial projects, but regularly take on jobs for private homes as well.

The company’s mission is to take a client’s vision and – through meticulous design, carefully chosen textiles, and expert execution – turn that idea into a one-of-a-kind custom piece that is both beautiful and functional.

Our hope is to leverage our design knowledge and experience to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service and a quality product. It is this commitment to service and attention to detail that has made Great Dreams Interiors one of the leading custom design firms in the DC metro area, delivering interior designs that, for over two decades, have matched or exceeded client expectations.
